TROPICAL CYCLONE SUMMARY: (1) AT 29OCT22 0600Z, TROPICAL STORM 26W (NALGAE) WAS LOCATED NEAR 13.9N 121.4E, APPROXIMATELY 48 NM SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF MANILA, PHILIPPINES, AND HAD TRACKED WEST- NORTHWESTWARD AT 08 KNOTS OVER THE PAST SIX HOURS. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED SURFACE WINDS WERE ESTIMATED AT 55 KNOTS GUSTING TO 70 KNOTS. SEE REF A (WTPN31 PGTW 290900) FOR FURTHER DETAILS. (2) NO OTHER TROPICAL CYCLONES. B. TROPICAL DISTURBANCE SUMMARY: (1) THE AREA OF CONVECTION (INVEST 94W) PREVIOUS LOCATED NEAR 8.9N 139.9E IS NOW LOCATED NEAR 8.8N 139.4E APPROXIMATELY 88 NM EAST- SOUTHEAST OF YAP. ANIMATED MULTISPECTRAL SATELLITE IMAGERY DEPICTS A PARTLY EXPOSED LOW LEVEL CIRCULATION WITH THE UPPER LEVELS BEING SHEARED TO THE SOUTH AND THE MAJORITY OF THE CONVECTION ALSO TO THE SOUTH. UPPER LEVEL ANALYSIS INDICATES THE SYSTEM HAS DRIFTED INTO AN AREA OF MODERATE (20-25 KNOT) VERTICAL WIND SHEAR, WITH CONTINUED POLEWARD OUTFLOW. GLOBAL MODELS NO LONGER SHOW DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM. THE MAXIMUM SUSTAINED SURFACE WINDS ARE ESTIMATED AT 19 TO 24 KNOTS. MINIMUM SEA LEVEL PRESSURE IS ESTIMATED TO BE NEAR 1004 MB.
